Abstract :
According to the problems such as plastic wrapping nonuniform, copper snapped or piled easily etc, this paper proposes a scheme of ARM for tension control in electric cable plastic wrapping process. The design of hardware system uses STM32F103VET6 of ST company as the main unit and combines with the corresponding peripheral device. The design of software uses integration development environment IAR 5.40 and applies adaptive variable-structure control algorithm. The experimental result shows the application of ARM as the main control unit in the system of the electric cable plastic wrapping process succeeds in realizing the constant tension control by PWM output of STM32 and shows excellent control effect.
