Abstract :
In this paper, photon detectors based on horizontally aligned and network single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are systematically investigated and compared carefully. The photoresponse of the aligned device is approximately 4 times as large as the network device. At room temperature, the photoresponse of the network device increased in air compared to that in vacuum, while the aligned device behaved in a different way. It suggests that photoconductivity plays dominant role in the sensing process.
