Abstract
In this paper, we study the BER performance of Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Ultra Wideband (MB-OFDM UWB) systems with frequency synchronization errors. OFDM based systems are extremely sensitive to frequency synchronization errors. Carrier frequency offsets (CFO) result in loss of orthogonality among subcarriers which leads to severe inter-carrier interference, and thus effects the bit error rate (BER) performance. In this study, The BPSK MB-OFDM UWB systems is evaluated im terms of BER in frequency synchronization errors and Nakagami-m fading channels. The BER is computed considering that the CFO present in the system is fixed and constant. The theoretical BER expressions are compared with Matlab simulation results to show the correctness of the derived results.
