Abstract :
This paper presents the design of highly selective microstrip bandpass filters that exhibit a pair of attenuation poles at finite frequencies. Two 8-pole cross-coupled filter configurations consisting of microstrip open-loop resonators are investigated. The design examples of copper and high temperature superconductor (HTS) filters are described. Measured results are presented. It is shown that the compact size and the excellent performance of this type of filters are attractive for HTS and other applications.
