Abstract
Nokia has developed a GSM phone integrated into a PC Card (PCMCIA card). Design challenges (e.g form factor, power supply, interference) of the new product concept are discussed and solutions presented. Selected test results are presented for critical components and circuits. Host PC´s unwanted noise emissions are discussed and a noise cancellation technique is introduced.
