Operating theatres, imaging and diagnostic treatment areas are being supported by resilient electrical supply systems and these must maintain a Safe patient environment. Other related issues including external interference, high magnetic fields, communication systems, etc., can also demand special attention which justifies the healthcare environment as a "Special Location".
