Abstract :
The video transmission control is the key technique in a broadband teleconferencing system. Besides the video channel, to transmit images, a control channel is needed to provide information of how to control the video channel during a teleconference. The control signals can be inserted into the field blanking interval and transmitted with the video signal in the microwave network. The related hub communication stations in the network receive the mixture signals, extract the control command, then get the exchanging equipment into operation automatically to establish the video transmission links. The paper presents the video transmission, video exchanging and control signal channel establishing technique based on a local TV broadband microwave network. The network management protocol and hardware are also mentioned.<>
