            Abstract : 
A unified state-space approach to linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) and generalised predictive controller (GPC) control problems based on state-space representations of ARMAX models and explicit delay performance indices is presented. Links between the state-space and polynomial approaches to prediction and control problems are highlighted. Both the one-stage and infinite horizon solutions can be found within the unified framework.
