Abstract :
Matrix Theory-based Tolerance System (TS) is studied from view of Granular Computing (GrC). Tolerance relation is generalization of equivalence relation, based on which knowledge representation system, upper and lower approximation definitions in Rough Set Theory (RST) are generalized to TS. Furthermore, all definitions in TS are expressed and computed by Matrix Theory. Examples are given to illustrate the definitions and ideas mentioned above. Relative research is going on.
