            Abstract : 
We demonstrate that reduction of the total scattering widths of perfectly conducting (PEC) cylinders is possible without complex materials exhibiting strong anisotropy or possessing exotic electromagnetic properties. In fact, conducting objects with electrically small diameter can be effectively cloaked even with uniform, isotropic dielectric covers with relative permittivity larger than unity.
