Abstract
The present report describes the results of an experimental investigation on the temperature-dependence of dielectric strength of liquid crystal polymer. Two types of voltage were applied; an impulse voltage of 1.2/50 μs, and a DC ramp voltage of 500 V/s. Both impulse breakdown strength and DC breakdown strength gradually decrease as temperature rises. The impulse breakdown strength is relatively independent of temperature and the breakdown strength at 200°C is about 83 percent of that at 20°C
