Abstract
This article makes a qualitative study for the influence of improving the food quality & safety on the producer´s income by building the cost function of food quality & safety. We compare the different influences of improving the food quality & safety on the production behaviors in different conditions. It can be concluded preliminarily that there is an economic feasibility for the producers to improve the level of quality & safety: first, the long-run cost of quality & safety is tending to go down, there is an increasing margin of profit; and second, the maximal profit point can be found.
