Abstract
The modem market can be classified into two categories. They are the commondity and professional products. The professional products at the high end of the market are mainly for corporate network. This type of modem is mainly designed around DSP devices. This paper presents the design and the implementation, using digital signal processors, of a CCITT V.29 9600 bps modem. The whole transmitter and the receiver that are described were all implemented using the TMS32010 and the TMS32025 DSP respectively.<>
