Abstract :
In this paper, we compute the channel capacity in the presence of phase noise based on the approximation model of the phase noise. To combat the crucial degradation due to the phase noise, we consider the combination system of the channel interleaver-deinterleaver and the turbo-code modulation. The analysis and numerical results clearly show that the turbo coded modulation achieves near-capacity performance, even in the presence of phase noise
