Abstract :
The paper presents the simple model for evaluation of the microdrops distribution generated by a single nonstationary cathode spot of the vacuum arc. Computations carried out on the basis of ID model ("a-cavity on a plane" geometry) with description in a self-consistent manner of the movement of the spot surface and melting border within the cathode bulk. The distribution shape shows no dependence on current of single spot and the specific erosion rate is calculated.
