Abstract :
A novel permanent magnetic spring actuator of a low voltage high current vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) is presented. The breaking property requirement is satisfied, the current of the control circuitry is reduced and more rationalization of production in practice is verified. Furthermore, magnetic field distributions of permanent magnetic actuators under different operational conditions are obtained.
