Abstract :
Scattering of a linearly polarized Bessel beam by a conducting sphere is investigated and an exact analytical solution to this problem is presented for the first time. The electric field is plotted in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the beam and the scattering efficiency versus size parameter discussed for different conical angles of the incident Bessel beam.
