Abstract
We will present here a technique which allows for the accurate real time extraction of the intrinsic current state functions of a quasi-static HEMT model from time domain large signal waveforms. This is achieved by presenting an appropriate load impedance to the device during large signal excitation. The integration of a time domain full two-port measurement system based on the HP Microwave Transition Analyzer (MTA) with a variable load termination has made such measurements possible.
