Abstract :
We propose a formulation for charged non relativistic particles in homogeneous magnetic field within the framework of Sub-Riemannian geometry. Our approach takes advantage of the underlying Lie algebraic structure to uncover a set of Casimir elements. Second order conditions for the corresponding variational problem are touched upon.
