Abstract :
An automatic method of borehole symbol marking with VBA program under AutoCAD15 is introduced in This work. We use the functions offered by AutoCAD to establish the symbol library and the symbol library is made up of a series of functions each of which draw a kind of geological symbol in accordance with its symbol name. The spatial data and attribute data such as label name related with those boreholes are stored in Access database. The labels´ marking is adaptive so that the labels will not overlap each other. We program with VBA language under AutoCAD15 to mark the borehole symbol on the geological map after the data matching. An example of this method is also presented in This work.
