Abstract :
Powerline communication was a competitive solution to “Last Kilometer” technology because of its advantages such as layout independent and wide coverage. The paper studied deeply the application of OFDM to powerline communication and designed the MODEM in powerline communication utilizing the PLC chips—INT5500CS—of Interllon. And its application to remote ammeter was also presented and the Internet access based on powerline communication was implemented.
