Abstract :
EUROSTAG is a professional grade time domain simulation software jointly developed by Electricite de France and Tractebel. It simulates, with a variable time step strategy, the dynamics of power systems, from transient phenomena to long term dynamics. Great attention has always been paid in the software developments to user-friendliness and performance in terms of accuracy and low computation times. These are in fact key ingredients for making power system simulation studies easier, faster, and more reliable. Introduction of unbalanced phenomena has been done in the latest version of the software in an original and efficient way, keeping this philosophy in mind. The goal of this paper is to present this development and its validation
