Abstract :
A low cost, highly integrated S-band receiver has been realised and tested. It consists of three GaAs MMICs (low noise amplifier, controlled attenuator and digital phase-shifter) mounted onto an active silicon substrate and interconnected through a collective wiring process (HDI) in order to reduce drastically the cost of the assembly compared to traditional techniques.
