  • Abstract
    This paper presents the development of a one-sided directional slot antenna with impedance matching circuit. In order to realize the one sided radiation, quarter wavelength resonance was generated on the antenna metal plane. Moreover, in order to optimize the frequency bandwidth, 2-stage band-pass filter (BPF) was connected on the antenna plane. Our proposed slot antenna was designed and simulated by using commercial three-dimensional electro magnetic (EM) field simulator. Also, we fabricated this one-sided directional antenna on FR4 substrate and measured the frequency characteristics. The size our proposed antenna is 23.6mm × 12.2mm, and simulated maximum front to back (F/B) ratio is 9dB.
