  • Abstract
    In the upgrading of existing accelerators and equipping them with automatic control systems, the most important, and in some cases the decisive, factor of their structure is the minimization of the extra equipment and maximum usage of existing control systems. In the Yerevan synchrotron the beam observation system consists of the beam intensity monitors, and precise beam position monitoring failed because of bad noise immunity. A set of algorithms for closed-orbit estimation and correction of the magnetic field injection level which do not need the BPM (beam position monitor) are presented.<>
