Abstract
An automotive radar with good azimuth accuracy, e.g., the 77 GHz car radar (Eriksson et al., 1995, 1997) developed by CelsiusTech Electronics (since 1997 in cooperation with the car safety company Autoliv), has several potential alternative applications, made realistic and affordable by the price drop due to mass production. Several of these applications deal with civilian or military surveillance. The ongoing work at CelsiusTech Electronics with signal processing and presentation for some of these applications is illustrated
