Abstract
High-frequency scattering from an electrically large target above a randomly rough surface both with impedance boundaries are carried out by extending an existing algorithm originally proposed for perfectly conducting objects based on ray-tracing. Basically, physical and geometrical optics approximations are used to efficiently calculate the electric and magnetic currents induced on the boundaries. In this study, higher-order wave interactions between the target and rough surface and the different parts of target by themselves up to the second order are evaluated. The simulation results are verified by those of the MLFMM technique.
