Abstract :
To solve the problem of query-by-example in multimedia audio data, we analyze the characteristics of wavelet multiresolution, wavelet packet transform and it’s best base, and propose a method for searching audio data using wavelet packet best base and wavelet multiresolution pyramidal algorithm. First, we preprocess 100 audio data files by transforming them into best base coefficient and wavelet coefficient files with audio data and query data. And then we carry through elementary classification for these files using best base coefficient, and after that search these files using the different hierarchy pyramidal algorithms. By comparing our method with the method using different level wavelet approximate coefficient algorithm, we found that our method is highly efficient and reduce the search time without influencing the retrieval precision.
