Abstract
A novel method is proposed to estimate the radiated EMI noise for power-line communication (PLC), where the EMI noise separation is utilized to obtain the common mode (CM) current. Furthermore, the radiated EMI noise can be estimated according to the relationship between the radiated EM field and the CM current. The experiment results show that the radiated EMI noise is decreased obviously, while the CM current is suppressed by using ferrite core or CM filter, and the proposed method is effective and valid.
