Abstract :
The issue of communication media selection dominated all other considerations for setting up an online environment. Three media selection theories were selected to predict a group of media selection activities and compared their results with the real selections. It was found that the Media Fitness Theory was more effective than other two. Instant messenger was identified to be a promising communication medium.
