  • Abstract
“Our Earth is warming”. The evidence is clear. Many places have seen changes in snow and rainfall patterns, resulting in more floods, droughts, as well as more extreme climate events like heavy rainstorms and severe heat waves. Scientists have high confidence that global temperatures will continue to rise for decades to come, in overall about 1.8°C to 4°C over the next century. Presently, the use and needs of remote sensing moves forward to seek better accuracy for interpreting the content of satellite imagery. This advancement has motivated us to further research the use of remote sensing for understanding causal relationship between the increasing of greenhouse gasses concentrations and climate change. Remote sensing is a technique to observe the earth surface or the atmosphere from out of space using or from the air using aircrafts. Remote sensing uses a part or several parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. It records the electromagnetic energy reflected or emitted by the Earth´s surface. The amount of radiation from an object, i.e., radiance, is influenced by both the properties of the object and the radiation hitting the object, i.e., irradiance.
