Abstract :
Based on the interpretation of 1980, 1995 and 2000 TM, according to land resources classification system of 1:10000 in Resources and Environmental Database of CAS, this paper carried out the study on land use/cover change (for short LUCC) of DingXi area in hilly & gully area in the Loess Plateau. We make full use of ARCVIEW, EXCELL software to analyze LUCC of Dingxi area. During analysis, we introduced a concept of relative change degree of land use/cover and calculated the relative change degree of each county in our research area to conclude the regional character of LUCC. Canonical correlation analysis (for short CCA) was also applied to analyze the driving forces of LUCC. The result can reflect the relationship between LUCC and environment.
