Abstract :
Scanning properties of fully planar reflectarrays and piecewise planar parabolic reflectarrays (PPP) have been investigated. A few beamwidths of scan may be produced by lateral displacement of the feed for reflectarrays designed for a centered feed except for the case of tilted PPP reflectarrays. The excessive scan loss incurred in the tilted PPP reflectarray is studied in this paper. PPP reflectarrays employed in space based radar interferometric systems to produce nadir looking dual-polarized dual-beams may be designed using rectangular patches without requiring beam scan.
