Abstract :
Proton-implanted and oxide-confined VCSELs exhibit severe feedback-induced coherence collapse and variations in polarization stability. In addition, strong feedback causes dramatic coherence length discontinuities and satellite modes in oxide-confined VCSELs, despite lower feedback coupling efficiency.
