Abstract :
A wide locking range injection-locked prescaler based on CMOS ring oscillators in the 0.25-¿m CMOS process is described. The prescaler¿s free-running frequency is 1.47 GHz, and the locking range covers from 1 GHz to 2.4 GHz with in-phase and quadrature output. The prescaler dissipates 1.9 mA from a 3.3-V power supply.
