Abstract :
DESIGN MINI SCADA FOR FURNACE INDUCTION REACTOR OF KERNEL COATING. Mini SCADA system for furnace induction reactor of kernel coating has been designed at PTAPB BATAN Yogyakarta. Research of high thermal reactor (HTR) fuel was emerging and grows in Indonesia, from solgel process until kernel coating process. Since 2010, the Center of Accelerator Technology and Material Process (PTAPB) BATAN Yogyakarta start kernel coating research marked with building of an induction furnace reactor of kernel coating. Instrumentation technology in this furnace induction reactor always be developed every year, and now in 2013 has been designed a mini SCADA system use PLC FMD 1616-10 and HMI with LabVIEW 2011. This system has function for monitoring and controlling temperature in furnace induction reactor of kernel coating in realtime through HMI at Personal Computer. In this system operation testing with baud rate variation, variation in cable length and variation of operating time. From the test results, system can be run well on baudrate more than 9600 bps with RS-232 data communication cable in range 1 meter to 300 meters and can run well for 5 hours operation. The system can display in realtime data per second and was able to store data as logbook in microsoft word.
