  • Abstract
This paper investigates for the first time the microwave properties of arrays of magnetic nanowires embedded into a planar substrate. Our experiments show that the structure acts like an equivalent microwave ferrite substrate having several advantages. Resonances are indeed obtained in the measured transmission term of a microstrip transmission line deposited on the equivalent substrate. Those resonances are tunable according to a DC magnetic field applied to the structure. Observed results agree very well with the ferromagnetic resonance. Those observations open the road to a new generation of planar ferrite devices.
