Abstract
Traditional infrared detection system has small viewing field and low scanning speed, a new all-directional IRST system with high scanning speed is designed, which quickly images the whole spherical airspace on the infrared sensors by the reflector circumrotating in pitching and azimuth with high speed. The real-time processing system for high speed input images is constructed based on the processor ADSP-TS201 with high performance. The key problems and their solutions are emphasized as well as the realization ways of some key modules. The experimental result indicates that the all-directional IRST system has the function of quick search, all-directional scan and real-time process. The system has been equipped and put into use.
