Abstract
Video motion is a property of video sequences that is usually considered in order to change the behaviour of algorithms concerning a particular task carried out after video acquisition. The determination of this property is quite arbitrary, and often, there are great differences in the classifications made by different authors. Various ways of determining video motion are analyzed in this paper. These methods are evaluated according to their ability to describe this property. Also, the properties that the sequences must have in order to be used for this kind of analysis are fixed.
