Abstract :
In CDMA mobile communications the cross-correlation between signature codes yield multiaccess interference which will limit the system capacity. Multiuser diversity reception in a multipath fading environment is considered. We design a diversity reception scheme with equal gain combining of the multiuser detection outputs, and its performance for a Rayleigh fading channel is evaluated by computer simulation. The performance comparison is made among the conventional algorithm, the decorrelating algorithm and the maximum likelihood sequence detection algorithm for different combiners
