Abstract :
Query tasks will lead multiple neighbouring nodes in the monitoring region to collect the target information and transmit the data synchronously in event-driven wireless sensor networks. A random sleeping depth based adaptive sleeping method is proposed to choice different sleep time randomly of the neighbouring nodes, relieve data packet collisions caused by simultaneous transmission after the end of sleeping phase and reduce the energy consumption of idle listening. The performance of the proposed mechanism and the optimization of sleep depth interval can be acquired after establishing the Markov chain model.
