Abstract :
Our country is a country which has more flooding disasters. The affected area is broad, the affected time is long, and the loss is grave. Flood and disasters control will be a long-term and difficult assignment. The research on flood and disasters control needs bring in advanced scientific technology means urgently. It is necessary to improve the flood and disasters control work through the high and new technology. At present, the remote sensing technique, geographic information system and global positioning system (3S) have got rapid development. The spatial information technology with the framework of 3S has been used widely in the flood and disasters control field. This article mainly focuses on the function of spatial information technology, and forecasts the application trend of spatial information technology in modern flood and disasters control.
