Abstract :
The theoretical analysis describes the impact of producer services in building and maintaining the competitiveness of the automotive industry. Using the China´s input-output tables of 2002 and 2007, we find that the dependence of China´s automotive industry on the emerging producer services of high knowledge-intensity and capital-intensity is rising. And in the future advanced producer services will be of great importance to the competitiveness of China´s automotive industry.
