Abstract :
A highly integrated 3 V IF I/Q transceiver (SA1638) is introduced as part of the complete Philips chip-set solution for GSM/DCS1800 (operating in the 900 MHz/1.8 GHz bands respectively) systems and other similar digital cellular, PCS applications. Advanced features and system design benefits are described. The performance has been experimentally evaluated with a newly developed SA1638 application board. Measured results are presented, which shows the low voltage IF transceiver (SA1638) could lead to a low power, low cost, small size design, and provides superior performance for a wide range of digital wireless, PCS applications
