Abstract :
Cross-border coordination of radiocommunications services is a very important aspect of spectrum engineering, crucial for network feasibility in countries´ border areas. It is an ongoing activity, with a purpose to assure uninterrupted operation of different (or the same) radiocommunications networks between two or more neighboring countries. The ever-growing introduction of new technologies and services comes as a challenge for cross-border coordination because new sharing or co-existence criteria need to be implemented in the existing international agreements or other relevant documents. This paper focuses on the cross-border coordination criteria for mobile and fixed services in Croatia. The main principles of the coordination process have been explained, with some open issues and future developments discussed.
