Abstract :
To maximize the benefits on installation of distributed generation (DG) units, it is necessary to determine optimal number, rating and position in the power system. Improper sizing and location can cause harm to the stability of the power system. To solve these issues, numerous techniques have been presented by researchers over the years. In this paper, a complete survey has been made on various methodologies employed in obtaining the optimal location and sizing of DG units.
