Abstract :
The reader merely read traditional books, but also they gain contents from new media (for example the network, mobile device and digital library). In recent years, the publishing industries focus on developing digital publishing. Currently some presses constituted the press group in order to develop new products to enhance competitiveness. But actual groups have many problems on management and the distribution of benefits. Service science provided a method to build a virtual group through products and services. This paper describes the use of services science and semantic web to build high-performance digital publishing industry infrastructure. Every press managed self-products that included paper-book publishing, digital book publishing, network publishing, mobile publishing, etc. The customers used mobile novels, Internet novels, mobile newspaper, Internet newspaper, digital book, and book. The service-oriented digital publishing infrastructure implemented the service combination and built the virtual publishing group through the mapping between two type products. The paper also described three important ontologies of digital publishing application.
