Abstract :
Marine current is a typical spatio-temporal process. Through numerical simulation and model calculation, a large amount of 3D data fields of marine phenomenon is obtained, spatio-temporal model can effectively store, organize, manage and improve the spatial and temporal semantics of geographic objects. It can more accurately reproduce history, track changes, and predict the future. Temporal database is better to store spatio-temporal data of marine phenomenon. Currently, study on visualization of marine current data is focused on static display and store complete data fields of marine current. In this paper, we use base state with amendments model to organize marine current data fields and study the dynamical visualization of data based on this data model. It only records the process of changes, data redundancy is reduced and the dynamic visualization efficiency of vector field is improved. Meanwhile, this paper presents dynamical visualization methods of generate profiles based on this data model.
