Abstract
This paper presents our study and implementation of an adaptive beamforming antenna using a sequential beamspace approach. The goal of the project was to develop a system that could adaptively form a beam in the direction of arrival (DOA) of the signal of interest (SOI) while nulling one or more signals not of interest (SNOI) on a conventional phased array system. After various simulations in MATLAB and laboratory tests it was determined that adaptive algorithms implemented in sequential beamspace would satisfy the goals of this project.
