  • Abstract
    In this paper, a new center location method based on fuzzy mathematics is presented. Algorithms of this kind could be combined with other segmentation methods such as level set, watershed, to finish the extraction of cell nucleolus. Compared with other center location methods, the new one presented has some advantages: neither noise nor cell size could affect its location result. With this method, the center of karyon can be easily found even when they have different sizes in one cell image. And the location result is always correct with regardless of serious noise. After having the center location of elliptical karyon, level set method is applied to segmentation task. Outcome of segmentation proved that this center location algorithm was effective and robust.
